Fall leaves

This week epitomized the glory of “Indian Summer”.

Wikipedia would call my inaccuracy, since all of the trees haven’t yet shed their greens for red and yellow and gold. And it hasn’t frozen yet.

But after the mid-sixties average throughout September, a week of mid to upper-seventies and blue skies has been Elysian.

I always forget how long fall lasts. A quick look at photos of splattered leaves still clinging to branches last Thanksgiving sets me right, but there is still an urgency to enjoy every minute of the transient autumnal season.
